If you often send contracts or documents that need signatures, wouldn’t it be great if the right person was assigned to sign automatically every time? This feature helps your business by making sure the correct sender is assigned as the signer on your documents, without extra manual work.
📌 Why This Matters
When your business sends out contracts or important documents, it’s crucial the right person is signing them. If you send with outdated or incorrect signer information, it can cause confusion or delays. Assigning the signer dynamically ensures that your workflow stays smooth and your documents are always sent with the correct sender signature, especially if different people are involved in the process.
✨ What’s New
- Dynamic Signer Assignment: You can now assign fillable fields like signatures in your document templates to be filled automatically by the sender linked to your process.
- Flexible Sender Options: Choose whether the signer is the person who triggers the workflow or the one who last edited the document template.

🛠️ How to Use It
- Step 1: Create a Template with a Sender Field.
- Go to the section for managing your Documents & Contracts templates.
- Click “New” to open the template editor and add a Signature or any other fillable field to your document.
- Set the field option “To be signed by” to “Sender”.
- Save your template.

- Step 2: Use the Template in Your Workflow.
- Open your Workflows and add the action to send Documents & Contracts.
- Select the sender (the user who will be sending the document).
- Choose your template that includes the sender fields.
- Under “Assign Sender Fields To”, choose between:
- From User: the signer is the person sending the document.
- Template Owner: the signer is the person who last updated the template.
- Pick your sending method (email or direct).
- Save and publish your workflow.

The system automatically checks and assigns the signer on the document before sending, making your process quicker and error-free.
💡 Pro Tip
Automatically assigning the correct signer on your documents saves you time and helps ensure contracts get signed faster, which means your business can get paid sooner.
