Your CRM’s AI agent can now connect to outside tools and services while a workflow is running, which means it is no longer limited to the information already stored in your account. For small business owners, this opens the door to faster answers, more useful automation, and better decisions based on real-time data.
📌 Why This Matters
If your business relies on timely information, this feature can help your AI agent do more than simply reference customer records. It can pull in live details from connected services, look up information when needed, and use only the tools you allow. That means your workflows can stay more accurate, more practical, and more aligned with how your business actually runs day to day.
✨ What’s New
- Connections to compatible tools: Your AI agent can connect to compatible servers and use outside tools such as search, browser access, databases, and APIs during a workflow.
- Automatic tool discovery: After testing a connection, the CRM will show the tools available from that server so you can review them right away.
- Tool-by-tool control: You can choose exactly which tools each AI agent is allowed to use, helping you keep automations focused and predictable.
- Flexible setup options: Connections support HTTP Streamable and SSE transport types, along with authentication methods like None, Bearer Token, API Key, OAuth2, and Custom Header.
- Works with many server types: You can connect prebuilt or custom compatible servers depending on what your business needs.

🛠️ How to Use It
- Step 1: Open the AI Agent step inside the workflow where you want the agent to take action.
- Step 2: Click Add Tools and go to the connection tab for compatible servers.
- Step 3: Add a connection by entering the connection name, server URL, transport type, and authentication method.
- Step 4: Click Test Connection to see which tools are available.
- Step 5: Turn on only the tools you want the AI agent to use, then save your settings.

💡 Pro Tip
Give your AI agent access only to the live tools that support real business tasks, such as checking current information or pulling data faster, so your workflows save time and help your team respond more quickly to sales opportunities.
